Jackland's Story
Due to severe hearing loss, Jackland could not hear her family and friends during conversations and was constantly asking them to repeat themselves. She also struggled with hearing herself sing in her church choir. Frustrated by her hearing loss getting in the way of her hobbies she loves the most, Jackland decided to reach out to Miracle-Ear in Altoona, PA for a hearing evaluation. Miracle-Ear Hearing Instrument Specialist, Tony, tested Jackland and confirmed her need for two hearing aids, but quickly determined that the cost of hearing aids was out of her reach. Tony suggested that she apply for assistance from the Miracle-Ear Foundation. Jackland was approved and fitted with donated hearing aids as well as life-time aftercare. Jackland is delighted with her new hearing aids. She is looking forward to reconnecting with her loved ones again, as well as being able to fully participate in her church choir. Jackland is extremely thankful for the help Tony and the Miracle-Ear Foundation has given her with the Gift of Sound.
Jackland missed participating in her favorite activities, but with her new hearing aids, she is able to enjoy all the sounds of life.
