When Hurricanes Helene and Milton hit Florida, Darlene had no insurance coverage and lost everything, including her home, car, and hearing aids. Soon after, she had to leave her customer service job because she couldn’t hear. The recovery process became overwhelming. During our disaster relief outreach in the area, we waived her application fee, and Darlene received the Gift of Sound. She said, "I'm whole again. I'm not with the disability I've had for 3 months. This is a big victory, to get my hearing back."
