Cali E.
Cali is 21, studying psychology, and working part-time. As a sophomore in high school, she noticed her earbuds sounded uneven. “I would have to turn it up way louder than I did when I had it in my right ear and my sister always jokes that it’s because I’m deaf and I always told her it wasn’t. She was right.”

A hearing test revealed a severe loss in Cali’s left ear and moderate in her right. Today, with the Gift of Sound, she’s speaking at a more even volume and can even hear the refrigerator running. She says, “Music makes me feel emotion super easily. And when I have the hearing aids and it just makes it even stronger and I just, I love it so much. I'm so excited to go home and play on the piano."

Cali loves how much richer music feels now and can't wait to play her piano again.
