Carlise W.
After aging out of her Medicaid coverage, Carlise was stuck with outdated devices for nearly a decade. She couldn’t hear the phone, alarms, or cars honking. Carlise has Down syndrome, is nonverbal, and uses sign language to communicate. She enjoys basketball, bowling, and playing on her mom’s phone. With her new hearing aids, she’s confidently back on the court.

Barbara was so touched by the care we provided for her daughter, Carlise, that she paid it forward by covering the application fee for another individual in need. Her generosity inspired Carlise’s aunt, grandmother, and pastor to do the same!
